The most asked recipe on my Instagram page – Garlic Butter Mushrooms!

These mushrooms are insanely addictive! With minimal ingredients, this recipe is ready in no time. Certainly, it is the side dish everyone will love.

Not just as a side dish, but I have it as an appetizer too and it goes along well with a glass of rosé. Moreover, the garlic butter sauce is so good, you can use it as a spread for your toasted bread!

Though mushrooms are not in season right now in the midwest, I love to have them throughout the year, whenever I find good ones at the store. In other words, all the mushroom lovers, this is going to be your next favorite dish.

Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Best Season: Fall

Description

This recipe is gluten-free and vegetarian. I prefer whole mushrooms when I want to use them as an appetizer and sliced ones for a side dish. Make sure you are using fresh mushrooms as they bring out their original flavor, while canned mushrooms can make this dish taste a little different. Also, while sautéing keep the flame low cuz we don’t want the burnt garlic flavor.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash and dry mushrooms. Take the stems out.

  2. Heat butter in a pan/skillet on a low flame until it melts (it shouldn’t turn dark brown).

  3. Add minced garlic and sauté well in the butter for 1 minute.

  4. Add grated parmesan, salt & pepper and mix together to form the sauce.

  5. Toss mushrooms into the sauce and let them cook for 3-4 minutes.

  6. Turn off the flame and garnish the mushrooms with parsley. Serve!
